  • Social Research Applications (SRA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 by Dr. Josefina J. Card. Dr. Card is a nationally recognized scientist who has focused much of her career on translating behavioral and social science research findings into products and services to promote health and prevent disease.

    SRA's work is focused on making effective social intervention programs, best practices, as well as monitoring- and evaluation-related knowledge more available to community-based organizations.

    SRA was established to facilitate real-world applications of research and development in the social sciences.
  • Areas of expertise

    • • Development of science-based methodological guidelines and checklists for non-researchers.
    • • Dissemination of effective social intervention programs and best practices.
    • • Design of efficient and effective research and evaluation instruments.
    • • Organization and conducting of conferences and training/capacity-building institutes.
    • • Development of monitoring and evaluation systems for foundations and community-based organizations.
  • Projects

    SRA organizes and conducts seminars, workshops, and conferences related to adolescent pregnancy, STI, HIV, and substance abuse prevention. We provide technical assistance and support on-project evaluations. We network and guide community-based efforts to implement prevention initiatives. Below are samples of our projects.
